Program Survey
March. 16, 2015
The 2015 program survey is available from 3/16 – 4/11.  The purpose of the survey is to help the school to improve the Chinese and extra-curriculum programs.  We highly encourage our students and parents to participate in the survey.  The survey sheet can be found here: Chinese Class SurveyNon-Chinese Class Survey.

After-School Chinese Tutor Program Available

The after-school Chinese homework tutoring and conversation practice programs are available in the lobby of
Penncrest High School from 11:00 am to 15:50 pm.  Please look for signs on the tables in the lobby.  The service is free.

2014 Chinese Speech Contest

The 2014 Chinese Speech Contest on Dec. 13, 2014 was successful.  Congratulations to all the participants!!  The winners of this contest can be found from the manu on the left of the page, or by clicking here.

2015 Spring Semester Registration
December 7, 2014
The 2015 Spring Registration is available now.   The early registration, which waives the registration fee, is from Dec. 7 2014. to Jan. 3, 2015.  The registration form, steps and the policy can be found at the Registration page.  You may either mail your registration to the school address, or register in Penncrest lobby during the school hours.

2014 Chinese Speech Contest
November 3, 2014
The 2014 MSCS Speech Contest will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2014  at PHS library.  Detailed information on the contest and the contest registration form was emailed out on October, 31.  Please hand in your registration form to your Chinese class teacher by November. 29, 2014.

Mark Zuckerberg Speak Mandarin

On Wednesday, Oct. 22, Mr. Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder and chief executive, impressed a Chinese audience by speaking in Mandarin for about half an hour at a forum at Tsinghua University in Beijing. He discussed his thoughts on innovation in China, Facebook’s presence in the country and of course, why he learned Chinese.  View the links below:

Swarthmore College Kids Learning Study  

October 14, 2014

The research on children’s learning by Cognition and Development Lab at Swarthmore College will begin on October 25th, 2015 between 9:15am to 11:00am.  Detailed information can be found from school’s Letter.  Children of age 2-7 are eligible for the study.  To participate in the study, please sign the Parent Consent Form, and provide the form to your child’s Chinese class teacher by October 25th, 2014.
 

RTMSD Chinese Scholarship Application

The application for Rose Tree Media School District (RTMSD) Chinese Scholarship of 2014-2015 school year is open now.  If you are a student or resident Rose Tree Media School District, you are eligible to apply for the scholarship.  More information about the scholarship and the application process can be found out  2014 RTMSD Chinese Scholarshp.  The application ends by Nov. 10, 2014.
